Our History

In 1995, Powell Construction Company Inc. of Johnson City, TN started a small engineering office in Beckley, WV consisting of two employees. This office was originated to assist with engineering services for projects in the West Virginia coalfields. By 1997, this office increased to thirty office and sixty field employees to become Beckley Coal, a division of Powell Construction Company Inc. offering construction and engineering services performing turnkey services. In 2011, Beckley Coal division became WV Coal Division, with offices located in Fairmont and Beckley WV.

In 2012, Powell Construction WV, LLC was formed with headquarters located in Beckley, WV.  The PCWV team has centuries of experience and knowledge to assist.
